Conte says draw ruins advantage

Napoli coach Antonio Conte believes the 2-2 draw with Genoa has cost the team their advantage as Inter Milan close in on a point.

Napoli needed a win to finish as champions after Inter Milan, who beat Torino, were level on points but managed to add just one more point, with Conte admitting that his side are now losing their advantage.

“Genoa had two shots on สมัคร UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีสำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ target and two goals. These things happen in football. When you concede a goal you have to do something better,” Conte told DAZN. “It’s disappointing because we should have won with all we’ve built, so it’s bittersweet and sad.”

“I was frustrated not to win at the start of the season, let alone the last three games of the season, but this is football. It happens – Billing came on to help with the aerials and deal with these situations, but the ball went over him for the equaliser.”

“I couldn’t have asked for more from my players because they had 22 shots and 11 on target, had more possession and ended up drawing. We’ve to improve on these situations.”

“We shouldn’t give up two points but at the same time we have to remember that we lost the advantage we had. We needed seven points from three games to be champions. Now we need six points from two games to win the Scudetto, which is still incredible.”
